SCIT

Allergy Subcutaneous Immunotherapy (SCIT)

SCIT, also known as subcutaneous immunotherapy treatment is the traditional way to build up a tolerance to an allergen. These injections occur in your allergist’s office so that the allergist and team can watch for a reaction. Improvements are typically seen within three months of use, but will need to continue injections for a much longer period. The goal of allergy shots is to help your body in adjusting to the allergen.
